Irish Sculptor,
Maurice MacDonagh, lives in Co. Wicklow and was born in 1962.
He studied at the National College of Art and Design from 1983 -
87 and was awarded a diploma and degree with first class honours.
He returned in 1989 to be their first student to graduate with a
Masters degree in Fine Art.
The following year, Maurice represented Ireland in "Sculpture
from the European Community" at Seville expo '92.
MacDonagh has had solo exhibitions at IMMA, the Project and RHA
Galleries. He has been represented in numerous group exhibitions
and his work can be found in many private and public collections
including Irish Life, OPW, Sculpture in Woodland, and the Ulster
Museum. He has received several awards including the Oreachtas Sculpture
prize and many Arts Council Bursaries.
