Spring is in the air

If ever we deserved a glorious Spring, then it's now. After all of the (admittedly picturesque) harsh Winter weather, Spring has come to the parklands in style.
The world is coming back in bloom, the wildlife is getting on with the business of preparing for and creating new life, and we're out there making the most of it. We'd love for you to come along too and see it all first-hand, and maybe even take your own photos to share your parklands story.

Walking in a Winter... parkland

Well, we've certainly had a cold Winter so far, with all of the road problems, school closures and frozen pipes that this entails. Luckily, the snow and ice bring a certain beauty to the world, and our resident wildlife seem to endure it rather well - I'm certain that some even enjoyed it!
The cold weather meant that we had fewer human visitors to the parklands than normal, but we thought we'd share the sights of our Winter wonderland with you anyway. Maybe next time, you can bring along your own camera to capture the parklands in a blanket of snow?

Did you know

There is usually a surplus of cocks amongst the adult grey partridge in the covey as some hens are killed each year during incubation
