Jørn
Rønnau is an envrionmental artist and sculptor. He was born
in Åarhus, Denmark in 1944.
He has created
a considerable
number of public artworks and projects. For instance the Forest
Art Project and vennelyst alphabet in Åarhus. A sculpture
park in Skanderborg, "The Unicorn" at TICKON, Langeland,
and 9 Sculpture Trees in Copenhagen. he has had large commissions
in Norway and England.
In his work
he focusses on the site specific, on natural materials and on the
processes inside and around he artwork, and often with a conceptual
dimension and the participation of the public. Krakamarken is the
absolute culmination of this work, for which he has received a number
of prizes and grants.
Jørn
Rønnau is an experienced lectuer in Denmark and abroad. His
works can also be seen at the Randers Art Museum. His latest great
project "Winterheart" is described at www.winterheart.dk.
He is a member of teh Danish Artists' Society, the Danish Artists'
Association and the Danish Sculptors' Society.

Jorn
Ronnau's work can also be seen in the Window Art exhibition
in Ferbane, Co. Offaly for the duration of the symposium. His
work is being displayed in Madden's window on Main Street.
