About the site

Loch an Dochais, meaning ‘Lake of Hope’, was developed in 1992 as a small angling lake with facilities for people with disabilities. Now, with all the appearance of a natural lake, Loch an Dochais hosts the All Ireland Competition for disabled anglers each year. An exceptional coarse fishing lake, it has proven popular and is an excellent site for families and for teaching children to fish.

On site picnic and parking facilities are provided which also serve the Tumduff walk..
